What is a Section 29 Notice?
A Section 29 notice calls on all creditors to lodge their claims against the deceased estate. Creditors have 30 days from publication to submit their claims to the executor.
What is a Section 35 Notice?
A Section 35 notice announces intention to apply for letters of executorship. Required when there is no valid will or the nominated executor cannot act. Must be published 21 days before lodging the application.
How do I get started?
Register for a practitioner account with your professional credentials. Once verified, you can immediately start ordering notices through the portal.
What do the Estate Advertisements cost?
R 295 per newspaper notice (Section 29 or Section 35) for newspaper advertisement support, and an optional R 100 add-on for Government Gazette submission assistance. Third-party publication costs (the newspaper's and the Gazette's own fees) are excluded unless separately added.
Is this a legal substitution for the executor?
No. When I Am Gone provides administrative support only - drafting, advertisement support and Government Gazette submission assistance. Statutory duties under the Administration of Estates Act remain with the appointed executor.
